Welcome

Thank you for joining me on this journey. I feel that this is the best way to not only record this experience but to include everyone who would like to be included during this time. Feel free to read whatever you like, but do not feel obligated. You are welcome to post your comments, or to just follow along in private. This disease is not just mine. It effects everyone around me, so I hope that this will help all of us in some small way.

In love and light,
Kimberly

A Little Help For Navigating This Site..

April 2011 UPDATE: To just read the short Blog which is the beginning of this story, begin with the first entry called "The Beginning...". At the bottom of each page hit "Older post". When you reach the end of that week it takes you Home. From there, click the next week (on the Right side bar under "Labels"

Since I decided to abandon this blog after the first couple of weeks or so, everything is in it's roughest form and incomplete. However the main Blog entries from the beginning of this Journey are done and intact so I hope you enjoy. (When the book is done, there will be much more in the upcoming site).

The links above the Blog are not complete and in most cases not started BUT it does give a description of what will be there eventually.

If you have ANY questions at ALL, you can either leave a comment or email me at kharmaa9@yahoo.com.

Random: Thoughts, Quotes, Poems, Scribbles, notes and songs

April 20, 2010: A poem came to me at about 4:30am, after so many sleepless nights. I decided to email it to a few famly members (somehow just happened to be all women, haha) who could appreciate it. This is how I sent it out:

I finally decided to break down and try and reach out to an old friend who I miss so very much...I thought I would share.

4:34AM
Sleep Sleep, my dear old friend,
wherever have you gone?
You use to come and visit me...
did I do something wrong?

My eyes get very heavy
and I eve start to doze,
but then I am awake again!
And so exhaustion grows.

It seems you only come now
in the middle of the day
and it's not that I don't want you!
So don't feel pushed away!

I've just been really busy,
my mind so full of stuff.
I really do still love you
but you're making this so rough...

So let us make a deal, k?
Ill meet you every night.
Same place and time you've always loved,
just be there, let's not fight.

You always made me feel so great,
I miss your gentle ways...
And you could really help me now
to get through these tough days.

Your Old Friend,
Kim

April 29, 2010: A good friend from online sent me this song. It touched me quite deeply.

Life has no smooth road for any of us; and in the bracing atmosphere of a high aim the very roughness stimulates the climber to steadier steps, till the legend, over steep ways to the stars, fulfills itself.

"Life is not about waiting
for the storms to pass...
it's about learning how to dance in the rain."

Thirty Three Years ago today
Our fate had taken form
Unbeknownst to me right then
My soul mate had been born

Growing along side me
Though a thousand miles away
We knew that we were out there
But how we knew we could not say

He was the friend I needed most
As I grew throughout the years
He was the one from all my dreams
Who shared my smiles and my tears

And as I grew into a woman
And he into a man
We understood our calling
So toward our path we ran

Fast forward to a year ago
The day was finally here
All our trials and journeys
Felt like  lifetimes not a year

And there he was, his deep blue eyes
The day that changed our life
My hand in his, and all was right
I knew I was his wife

The magic that has lead us
Every lifetime to this place
A love that is eternal
That cant be stopped by time nor space

By my side my love has stood
In good times and in bad
Our love has stood the test of time
In just this year we’ve had

If truly back when time began
I had no hand in fate
Then I thank the heavens and every star
For giving him as my soul mate

The kindness, compassion, his beautiful soul
My pillar of strength, my best friend
He gives me love beyond any dream
And by his side I will stand till the end

So although everyday I am grateful for you
And I love you in every way
I’m so happy to honor the man that you are
And to wish you a Happy Birthday…

The Phrase we had framed to say Thank You to Dr. Turner

One of the many creative and encouraging things that my amazing Aunt Char came up with on the shirt that she and my wonderful cousin, Lana, had made for us.
